Five Things The Chamber Did For Your Business: October 6 – October 10, 2025
At the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce, our purpose is simple: to help businesses flourish. From celebrating achievements and fostering connections to advancing regional growth, we’re dedicated to strengthening the vibrant network that makes our community thrive. Want to know what we’ve been up to?
Here are five highlights from the past week:
- Our October Networking Breakfast focused on protecting local businesses during Cybersecurity Month, featuring expert insights from Tom Grimes of Avatar Web Design and Janet Licitra of TeamLogic IT. Their presentation, “You’re Not Immune: Protecting Your Business from Cyber Threats,” equipped attendees with practical tools and strategies—from implementing multi-factor authentication to teaching secure offboarding practices. It was an informative and engaging morning of learning, connection, and community collaboration.
- Patrick attended the Murrieta City Council meeting, where the Mayor and Council proudly sported their “Team Murrieta” shirts in support of the upcoming MilVet campaign to send care packages to our deployed troops. It was a great show of unity and generosity, reflecting the heart of Murrieta’s community spirit—neighbors coming together to honor and uplift those who serve. Our Chamber is proud to be a donation drop-off location, joining many other local businesses in supporting this meaningful cause.
- Our PitchAscent cohort began their first round of pitches this week, now halfway through the 8-week Impact Riverside County program led by business coach Volker Jaeckel. The program helps a select group of startups sharpen their business ideas and presentation skills. We’re excited to watch their progress and look forward to the finale on November 5, when they’ll present their final pitches to our panel.
- Patrick met with the Murrieta Parks and Recreation team on behalf of Explore Murrieta to discuss strategies for attracting more sports-related events to our region. The collaborative meeting focused on showcasing Murrieta’s facilities, community spirit, and hospitality to position the city as a premier destination for tournaments and athletic gatherings, further boosting local tourism and economic growth.
- Patrick attended the Inland Empire Campaign Development School, a program designed to equip emerging community leaders and advocates with the tools and strategies to effectively plan and manage successful campaigns. The training provided valuable insights into communication, outreach, and engagement—skills that help strengthen local leadership and civic participation throughout our region.
We’re honored to collaborate with our incredible business community—creating meaningful connections, hosting impactful events, and opening doors to shared success. Whether you’ve joined us in person, supported from afar, or followed along online, your involvement makes a difference. Thank you for the enthusiasm and positivity you bring to this journey.
