Five Things The Chamber Did For Your Business: June 2 – June 6, 2025

At the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce, everything we do is driven by our mission to support, connect, and champion the local business community. From celebrating achievements to sparking new partnerships and pushing for progress, we’re proud to be a part of the momentum shaping our region. Curious about what’s been happening lately?

Here are five highlights from this past week:

  1. Our CEO, Patrick Ellis, recently attended the CalChamber Capitol Summit with Board of Director member Daneen Ashworth and Board Chair Jay Diallo, where the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce was honored as one of the top three finalists for the inaugural Chamber of the Year award. This prestigious recognition celebrates excellence in advocacy, leadership, and impact across California’s chamber network. While the Redlands Chamber ultimately took home the award, we’re incredibly proud to be recognized among the state’s best and remain committed to championing our business community with energy, innovation, and heart.
  2. Chris and Maritza had a great morning attending the Rise, Shine & Network event hosted by Renaissance Village. It was a lively morning of connection and conversation, bringing together local professionals in a welcoming setting. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to meet new people, exchange ideas, and strengthen relationships that support both personal and professional growth.
  3. Chris attended a special send-off at 8 Bit Brewing to celebrate James Wurtz as he embarks on a new role with the City of Fullerton. James has served as the Economic Development Manager for the City of Murrieta for over three years, playing a key role in supporting business growth and development. We wish him all the best in this exciting next chapter!
  4. While in Sacramento, Patrick led coordinated advocacy efforts during visits to Capitol offices, playing a key role in the successful opposition and defeat of SB 310. This harmful bill would have reversed critical reforms to California’s PAGA law, threatening small businesses with costly litigation. Thanks to strategic engagement and strong partnerships, the voice of our business community was heard loud and clear—protecting employers across the state.
  5. We were thrilled to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of French Valley Café with a special ribbon cutting ceremony! For a quarter-century, this beloved local spot has been serving up delicious food and warm hospitality to the French Valley community. Friends, family, customers, and Chamber members gathered to honor this incredible milestone and the café’s lasting impact on the region. Congratulations to the French Valley Café team—here’s to 25 more years of great food and community connection!

We're proud to walk alongside our business community as we build connections, spark ideas, and move forward together. Whether you've joined us at events, shared your voice, or stayed engaged from afar, your involvement makes a difference—and we’re grateful to have you with us on this journey.
